Ap psych was one of my favorite class this year and I want to assure you that you made the right choice taking it. I recommend doing your vocabulary throughout the week instead of cramming it. It helps you grasp the concept better and divides the stress. My favorite project was working with candy to learn about the brain for obvious reasons. I think we should have more group assignments, and you should replace the final exam with a project. Other than that this class was amazing and interesting.

How good is my memory

Image
I think my results were pretty good throughout all of the tests I took I don't its a clear representation of my short term memory because it showed me pictures of animals or nature that I needed to memorize and showed me at the end how accurate I was. It is valid because it did measure my short term memory.

Social Psych in School

Compliance:  This can be applied to real life situations connecting to school because its when you follow rules like not talking when the teacher is talking and not resisting to follow rules/regulations.   Obedience: This can be applied to real life situations connecting to school because its when you understand the teacher is in greater authority than you and follow everything he/she is asking from you like helping a student who was absent after being told to.     Social facilitation: This can be applied to real life situations connecting to school becuase its when you get distracted easily or have no motivation to do your assignment at home but when your surrounded by peers who are also working you tend to focus and perform better.      group polarization: This can be applied to real life situations connecting to school whenever your in a debate. Mental benefits of singing

Image
Singing may just be a hobby for you but there is so much more than technicality and  musicality that goes into the feelings that arise when you flow into a melody. Let's look deeper than what we learned in music class and into our bodies. When we sing our body releases oxytocin which trigger happy feelings. Oxytocin is produced in the hypothalamus. Singing also decreases anxiety and concentration. Although humming when doing homework may be understood as a distractor it is actually easing your mind which could help you achieve a faster and more productive work pace.

Weird pupils let octopuses see their colorful gardens

Image
Cephalods are colorblind allowing them to only see black and white but they are known to change color to blend in the with their surroundings and attract a mate so how is this possible? The octopuses have a weird pupil in the shape of a "W" and "U" which allows it to see color using chromatic aberration. Their vision is blurry and some colors are easier to pick up on(blue and yellow) while others are harder(white/light colors). Although they only have one photoreceptor it is beneficial to them because it allows them to see in dim lighting and tell colors apart. https://news.berkeley.edu/2016/07/05/weird-pupils-let-octopuses-see-their-colorful-gardens/

Satisfied Aunty

Image
SatisfiedAunty was once just a normal girl growing up trying to find herself and who she was. Hindering her from doing so was her moms friends(known as aunties in her culture) who constantly critiqued her, ranging from not eating enough to eating too much. She never found a way to please the aunties and started to become unsatisfied with herself. When she grew up and leveled up to an aunty for younger girls she found it a mission to reverse normalized standards and stand as a strong supporter for little girls who once like her are confused and lost. She uses her judgment to uplift other girls and decision skills to know when to critique and not. She is always satisfied with everyone but won't hold back to use her judgement to help others. Her strong drive and motivation to create a healthier community bounces off on aunties who uses judgment for evil. She is simultaneously integrating her beliefs into the culture and helping younger girls find themselves. Frontal lobe+dopamine
